Joolz Cave-Berry

 

Profile

 

I am a passionate artist who enjoys my work and loves to share it. I have exhibited widely and have a BA in Design Craft and an MA in Contemporary Applied Art. I have a wide range of experience in many different materials and techniques. I have collaborated with other artists and completed both public and private commissions.

Delegate, Access All Areas - Live Art and Disability, Club Row gallery, London.

Holton Lee Open Exhibition, Disability Arts, Second place

Judges choice. In association with Arts Council and NDACA.

 

Workshops at Brighton University. Consultancy on two occasions. Relating to Architecture/Inside Out on National basis.

 

Workshops at the Tate Modern. Exploring creative relationships between architecture and disability. 4 month project. In assoc. Brighton University / Dada South I Diablo Arts / Art Council. Winner of 'Design Charrette', Tate Modern.

 

Collaborative Design workshop for 'Lightbox' in Woking. Promotional work for art in the environment. In assoc with the Arts Council & DADA South.

 

Consultancy for Accentuate for the 2012 Olympics (International Paralympics Movement). Legacy Trust UK.

 

2007

Designing & making a product for the promotion of 'Jumping through hoops' by Diablo Arts for the Architecture week in association with Arts Council, Solent Centre & RIBA.

 

Assisting students in the Architecture department at Brighton Art College on their final exam pieces.

 

Teaching design and form to 10 - 11 year old children at St Georges School in Portsmouth as part of the DADA Arts Plus Award.

 

Ongoing collaborations and commissions of Private and Public Art.

 

Artist in Residence at Portsmouth University. 1 year.

 

Volunteer for Arts and Crafts department at St Dunstan's home for the blind. 1 day per week.

 

Artist advisor for Check Point. Hayward Gallery, London

 

2006

Collaborating on the Arts Plus Award with SEEDA (South East England Development Agency) and the Arts Council.

1st Place Award won for an Arts Disability Project.
